My deepest sympathies to the entire McClendon family with the loss of your wonderful patriarch. He will be sorely missed. I loved Bob. His humor, wisdom and generosity has always inspired me...and always will. Knowing Bob has been one of the greatest gifts of my 20 years in South Haven. Heaven is a happy place today as it welcomes his joyful spirit. Love, Elaine

For me Bob McClendon was a wonderful friend and a wise and valued member of the Wyckoff Chemical Company Board of Directors. He was a tireless champion on behalf of South Haven and a symbol and model of what it means to be an entrepreneur; a people-oriented business leader; and a provider of quality jobs.

Mark & Peggy Please except our sincere sympathy in the loss of your father. I first met your father when I worked for Wyckoff and he was on the board of directors. I remember my first impressions of him were how kind and honest he was. Wyckoff and Do-it were the two choice places of employment and much of that had to do with their leadership. As you must know he was well liked and respected by all. This is a loss to all of South Haven as he was truly a man to look up to.

I have worked for Bob and the Do-it corporation most of my adult life. I couldn't have asked for a better mentor, friend, and leader. Bob was a one of a kind that will always have a special place in my heart. He taught us all the importance of a positive attitude, to never quit, and endure to the end no matter what life might hand us. I learned that dreams can come true with Bob. Thanks for all you and your family have done for us and the community. Love, Chuck Miller and family.

We always called him the Grape Grandpa, because when I was little the only time my sister and I got grapes was when we visited him and Grandma. He always played with words and passed that love to my Mom, and on to me. Since I work with language, I miss his silly (and usually fairly awful) puns, but every time I hear one, I think of him. Grandma, I wish I could be there, but know I'm praying for you and the rest of the family. I love you, Adele.
