I want to say how sorry I am to Ron's family. He was such a great man and an even better friend. His one of a kind smile and the sound of his laugh will never be forgotten but will be sorely missed.I always called Ron by his nickname HOLLYWOOD, and that name was fitting because he was a star that shined so bright that all next to him stood dim. He had a way to make you feel special, and you couldn't be down around Ron he would have you laughing in no time.Thank you Hollywood I'm a better person from being your friend! I can only hope you know just how much you were loved by your friends in Michigan and here in Florida!I admired how you lived life fast and free! Ron once told me happiness in life is no regret's. I'll miss you Hollywood and keep you in my heart always! My prayers and thought's are with Ron's family and friends! I hope you find peace some time soon. All my Love and Respect, Jessica

We heard you were gone Saturday.Jessica came in heart broken and wanted to share with your friends here that you were an angel now.She made us reserve your bar stool, and had LT sing your Jim Morrison song.He dedicated it to you, and ended it With "Goodnight Hollywood!" We will miss seeing your smile.having you in our pool tournemants. And never will a Doors song be sung without feeling your presence in the room! The sound of your laugh wil echo from heaven down to us! We feel lucky to have known you and to call you "friend".Here is one final toast to Ron! May your family find some comfort in knowing you were loved every where you went! We will pray for them. All your friends at ART'S

Ron always seemed to have a smile on his face. He loved to sing. When they'd call "Hollywood," (Ron) up to sing, you never knew what to expect, but you knew you would have a smile on your face, when he was finished. Ron loved life, any way it came to him. Even the bad things, he made look better. There are a lot of things we could learn from Ron. He taught us all a lot of things, in his own way. After knowing him for 27 years, here is a poem that I'll always remember him by. Your SMILE... will never fade. Your LAUGHTER... will always be heard. But most of all... the LOVE you taught us... will stay in our hearts FOREVER. We will miss you. SUE Karp (2006)

I know that we are all devasted by the sudden death of "Hollywood". A sudden death in any circumstance is hard to deal with. It gives you know time to say good-bye or say the things you wished you would have said. We will miss his wonderful smile & his jokingly manner. There will always be a special place in our hearts for you Ron, We love you & will always miss you!! The memories we will cherish forever and always!!!

McKie Family, I am sorry to hear about Ronnie. I have a lot of memories of Ronnie and I, like when we went swimming at Curtis Island and we would swing on the rope. I also have nice memories of sliding down Thunder Mountain. I will miss him. My family and I will keep you close in our thoughts and prayers.

I remember growing up with ron as i was growing older he was such a funny type of guy. We would always crack each other up with jokes lol and also were great times going out to the races to watch him race his car which i thought was soo cool having a cousin that raced. There are so many words that i could say about my cousin but one thing is for sure. He was a down home country fun type of guy who thought alot about his family and his children and would do what he had to do to support his family as well as himself. He was pretty much like a big brother to me i looked up to him and to sum everything up we will miss him and all the great times we shared with him.

To Wendy, Dakota and Daytona and to the McKie Family. My family is truly sorry for your loss. Dakota, you remember that we love you like one of Ryan's best friends. Daytona you remember that you are always my girl and Wendy you know how strong our friendship is. You three hang in there, I know that this is a time that will try your faith, strengthen your love for one another and realize that you truly are loved by many people. Daytona and Dakota your dad loved you very much and sometimes when that love is so strong and the ability to deliver it weakens, God finds another way to do that. At first it hurts and then it later makes sense. This is one of those times. Take hold in those around you that really, really care and lean on it. We will never question how much he loved you, we will only emphasize it. You are great kids with an awesome mom. Remember that and cherish it. She will always be there for you and so will your Dad. Just in another way. You'll see it throughout your lives from now on. He'll be your Guardian Angel. And that's the best place for him to be. Watching over all three of you, free from the world that was causing him to do so. He'll never be far away...he's in your memories, your hearts and your prayers...and all of ours too. Love you three to pieces.. Shannon, Al and Ry

Bub, we all missed you tonight....we want you to know that we are all here for you. Please don't shut us out. Your soul mate, brother and best friend wasn't meant for this world - you know that.....it was too constraining..He's free now, but most of all, he is with you and in you and we need you to carry on his sense of humor, laughter and friendship. Ron is up there watching us, knowing he taught us all he was supposed to and most likely laughing at us because we are so darn conservative....We will all miss seeing the 2 brothers together. Please reach out - we are there for you.... To Ron's parents, you raised a special gift of a son. He touched many hearts. It takes special parents to raise such a special son.

My deepest sympathy to the McKie family during this very difficult time. Our family grew up on the same block as Ron and his family. The things I remember about Ron were his smile and his love for speed. He simply had no fear. My brother Tracey is in Iraq, but I know if he were here he would want you to know that Ron was a good friend to him growing up. The only words of encouragement that I can give are that time does make the pain and sorrow easier.

I felt a true sense of love yesterday during the funeral service for Ron. Those of you present expressed to me just how much Ron touched you all. Ron (otherwise known as Ron Alan) is my cousin and I feel so cheated in that I never really got to know who the real Ron McKie really was. Family is so important. Life is so precious and we should live every moment as if it were our last just as I've found that Ron did. Just know that I love you all and you are in my heart and in my prayers. I love you Ron.....
