I was so sad to read about your dad, grandpa or great grandpa. He was a very likeable man. I enjoyed visiting with him at Christmas last year. I know that all of you will miss him a lot. Take care and if you need anything, please call. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Salty was like a father to me but more than that he was my friend. He was one of the special people in my life who still called me 'Billy'. I am a better person for having known him and I will miss him.

Sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He was a friend a mentor and a role model that helped me understand the action of hard work and good thoughts would get you a lot further than stories and lip service. We didn't call him "Salty" for the heck of it.
Straight forward and frank you always knew where he stood and he never was in fear of letting you know it. He was a gentle giant that we all will feel a void over for some time to come. I am grateful for the opportunity to call him a friend and for being there to share some of my life experiences with. He inspired me to be a better person through our fellowship and we will miss him greatly.

Barbara , Ron, Maggie and Barney,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Salty was a wonderful person and I'm sure a wonderful father and grandfather to you and your children. I will have fond memories of him as he wold stop by almost everyday at Olson Brothers when I worked there to pick up Donnie for morning coffee. He always had a joke to tell or a funny story. He was a man who truly celebrated life. May the memories that you have with him help you in your sorrow. May God bless of all of you.

So Sorry for your loss, I knew Fred, from when I worked in Bangor and he was a salesman with Thayer Paper Co. Always a smile and a joke. (sometimes a little off color, but a good guy. He would always call me by every name than the right one, so I called him Sam. He will always be Sam to me. I know he will be sadly missed, in your life. Our deepest Sympathy.

To Barb and family,
Salty was good friends with my father Don. He told my Dad one day that his son was doing a fine job at staying sober. As a result my Father told me he was proud of me. I will always be grateful to Salty for saying that. And I will miss him at the tables.

Barb, Ron,Maggie & Barney:
I just heard of Salty's passing to a better place at Mass today and you will
all be in our thoughts and prayers. I remember Ed's Dad and Salty were
good buddies a long time ago and when I saw his date of death, he died o
n what would have been Ed's Dad's birhtday. They are now buddies in heaven. Ed said when he was a kid Salty would always say things to Ed's Dad that would get Ed in trouble....just fun stuff. Keep him close at heart
with all your wonderful memories.

Barb, Maggie, Barney, and Ron: Over many years our families have worked, visited, prayed, and consoled each other. Now I extend my sincere condolences at the passing of the Pero Patriarch. What a treasure to have known Salty-- to be lightened up by a joke, or encouraged at work, or given a warm hug. I know there is a trio of "block heads" having a good time in heaven. May peace flood your hearts in his absence.

I remember Salty since we went to school, Ron. When I worked at the bank he always had a joke, a story or something to tease me about that never failed to brighten my day. His memory will keep a smile in my heart.
My deepest sympathy to your entire family.
