Those we love don't go way,
They are beside us everyday,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

We are part of Jim's extended family at Hammondell Campsites of Winter Haven, Florida. Jim and Chris are like family to us we called them mom and dad. Bill and I will miss Jim very much, this year at Hammondell was very different without them both. Much love and prayers go out to their friends and family.

Always a smile...
Never a frown.
He picked us up....
When we were down.

Mr. Mitchell was an inspiration and a model citizen to look up to and admire while growing up. He had countless positive influences on many children in South Haven and pole vault students over the years. He will be sadly missed and was greatly appreciated while we had him.

So saddened to hear of your loss. What a wonderful man that I have known since I was of high school age!
Jim always had a smile, always a kind word and never met a stranger. He remembered me each and every time I saw him. His love continues on through his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
May he always be tucked away within your hearts!

Jim/Edie: We want to send our deepest sympathy to you Chris and your entire family. Jim was a religious man that lived it every day, not only sunday. He made many friends throughout his life. We had a lot of good times together as I was his driver. Our first neighbors were the Mitchells. We will always have you guys in our hearts and minds. May you rest knowing that he has gone to a nice place. We love you all.

John & Judy & Family - we are so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad; we have many fond memories of your family of when we rented a trailer - Lot #15 to be exact - at Mitchell's Trailer Park when we first got married. May God be with all of you at this time.

I remember when we were young and visiting the Mitchell family in South Haven, My dad was such a good friend of Jim's . We were playing up in the attic at the house at the end of the road, and one of us kids fell through the ceiling. We always had fun there:))) I also remember Jim and John and Judy being there for me when my Dad died not so long ago. I will remember him fondly forever, and will keep praying for you all in this time of loss.

We were so sad to hear of Jim's passing. We were part of Jim's extended family from the first day we moved to South Haven in 1974. What a wonderful and kind man. The world was a better place with him in it. We have great memories.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you say goodby to your husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a wonderful uncle, never to be forgotten. We will always carry the memories of the house boat trip we were so lucky to have shared with you and your family. Our hearts are sad by Uncle Jim's death, but happy as he enters his new home in Heaven. Prayers for all of you.
