I first met Kelly at a cub scout meeting at the church. his son, Nick was joining scouts the same time joseph was. he and i attended many scout functions together. We were cub scout co-leaders for a year and he was always willing to dive in and help. While attending the many scouting functions, i grew to know and respect him, and was amazed at the stories of his adventures in the amazon tagging trees for harvesting. for my part, I will miss him and the times he would "buzz" by in his ultralite. Kelly, i will still look to the sky and "see" you fly by.

I have the pleasure of having gotten to know Kelly for about the last 10 or more years. He was very unique and interesting and smart. He was thoughtful. I will miss Kelly Simon. I regret not having learned even more from him

Kelly was an amazing human being who cared for his family and friends in a rare way. I came across old photos of us together and was swept with emotion for the loss of a good friend. I cannot wait to see him one day as I know we will end up in the same place.
