How sad to read this message this morning. I will never forget all the dance lessons in her studio with my friends and what a wonderful lady she was all the years I have known her. Always had a special smile on her face. Will be truly missed and remembered by so very many students and friends.

My deepest condolences to the family. I took only one year of lessons, 65 years ago, but Joyce remembered me and my name until just a few years ago. I recall being a Bluebird to Over the Rainbow in my only recital for her before we moved. I have such fond memories of both Joyce and Glen.

Mrs. Pulliam was a big part of my childhood. I rode my bike across town for many years to enjoy dance lessons from her. She would take us on small trips just for fun, like the Chicago zoo. She always had popsicles for us is the summer, and so much energy. Seeing her each week was a highlight and I know that she was a positive influence on my life. I will always recall the fond memories from my years with her. She was more than just a dance teacher to me. As I now bring my two daughters to dance lessons where I live, I always wish they had a Mrs. Pulliam for their teachers. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Brenda & Rick,
We are so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I remember visiting her in the summer when we would come to see Grandma Hoag. We’d see all the students in their dance apparel at the studio next door.
Your mom was such a great friend of my grandparents and a lifelong friend of my dad’s – she was older by 3 days. He was able to visit her several times over the past few weeks and I know it meant a lot to him that he could chat with her.
You are in our thoughts.

To the Family of Joyce Pulliam, May your family find comfort in fond memories, and in knowing that God is "near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34:18) Our loving Creator, Jehovah God, has promised to soon "swallow up death forever...and wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8) With deepest sympathy.

Mrs Pulliam, an amazing dance teacher who I have known my whole life. She was the most patient teacher and so talented! My favorite memories are of tap dancing in her studio from little on up through High School. She would play the piano, Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue, and I would dance the routine. I also loved dancing side by side with her. She was a great dancer and I feel so lucky and blessed to have had her in my life. To all of her family who I know she love so much, love and prayers to you all. You are who she would talk about first the minute I would walk into her studio. I Love Mrs. Pulliam and will miss her and keep her in my heart always.
