We were so saddened to hear of Chris' passing. He was such a great person, so kind and funny. We played pool with him for a couple of years (long time ago) and enjoyed his company. He will be so greatly missed!

My Big Brother will be missed by many a person. One word to describe Chris would be upbeat. E ven after learning he had cancer he was still upbeat. Sure he was sad but he never complained about it.Even when he was hurting at the very end. He was stll a happy person. Good Lord he has helped others so much in life but never a once did he ask anyone for anything in return.Love u Brother.

I have worked with Chris for of and on for 13 yrs and during that time i never new him to not have a smile on his face and a happy greeting. I learned a lot from him watching him work and he always showed how much he cared about what was happening to the people around him and that they be treated fairly. Chris will be missed.

My brother and I were sad to hear about Chris passing away. He used to live down the street from us in Byron Center. Chris and I were in the same grade at Byron Center High School. We just found out about Chris through a truck driver my brother works with at Grassmid Transportation. My brother drives semi for Grassmid and has hauled many loads from Boars Head but never ran into Chris. Our deepest sympathy to the Emelander family.
Sincerely,
