Jean, Deb, Taylor, Bailey, Ralph:
I was heartbroken to hear of Jim's passing. I'm even more heartbroken that I'm unable to attend his service and pay tribute to him. So, my apologies if I run on.
Jim was a wonderful friend and a great neighbor, always extending a hand to help me with the practical issues of owning my first home. I could always rely on him for even the smallest favor.
So many memories....but, given my recent conversation with Jean about the magical and brief snowy moment when she and Deb were choosing a cemetery plot, and knowing Jim's love of snow....I love to remember the night I first met him.
Sitting alone in my new empty home, with two beach chairs, a cardboard box for an end table, a lamp and a 12" TV, Jim came forging up my walk with his snow blower (hooded, and scary looking). When I realized that he was extending an act of kindness, I opened the door and tried to thank him.
He just kept on going! No time for conversation.
Jim served his country, worked hard all his life, took great care of his family, his neighbors and friends.
Words cannot describe how much he will be missed.
Jim - you can just plow through all those clouds upstairs. It will be light goin' from now on.

May James "Jim" E. Novotny RIP, far be it for the true God to act unjustly, "if an able bodied man dies can he live again? All the days of my compulsory service I shall wait until my relief comes." JobΒ 14:14. Where there's Hope, Love and Faith endurers live on sure of better days to come with prayers and many Psalms let His will be done in Heaven and on Earth. MatthewΒ 6:9,10; JohnΒ 5:28,29; Psalms 37:11
