To Ed's Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Ed was one of the most kindest and sweetest person I have ever met. He had the most wonderful smile to all those he met, either friends or no. If you had just met the man you soon felt you had been his friend forever, he had that type of personality! I have been truly blessed to have know him and to have him as my friend!

Ed has left a wonderful heritage to his family. Compassion, caring, friendly smiles, and a love of nature are traits with which few are endowed.
May his descendants carry those fine characteristics with them as they journey through life. That would be the greatest tribute to Ed.
To Edie, we send our sympathy in the loss of her dearest companion. May memories of happy times bring a smile to soften the pain of such a loss.

To the Jakubs family:
I had the great honor to work with Ed on his computer at the South Haven Senior Center this year. It is very sad to hear of his passing. We shared many laughs and I was very impressed at how sharp his mind was as well as his desire to learn. My sincere condolences.

Dear Eddie,
I was shocked to read of Ed's passing. You can be assured that you have my heartfelt sympathy. Ed was such a kind and caring person . I know that my mother was very fond of him and always enjoyed his visits and the bounties of his harvest. May God comfort you during this difficult time and in the days ahead.

I just went in for coffee at Mickey D's and found out about Ed today. I've been going in later lately so I've missed him because he and Dennis are usually gone by then.
I am so sorry to hear he passed away.I heard he was found in the drive way. So typical of him, always outside doing something keeping busy, playing mechanic or gardening.
I will especially miss him in the mornings, seeing him sitting with Dennis and reading the papers and spreading the local gossip with his big smile!
Painting his house this past summer, having a lunch made by Edith or giving me fruit and vegetables from his garden. What a treat!
Getting mechanical tips from his experience.Hearing him tell past stories.
He was more news than the Tribune!
He will surely be missed.
Rest in peace,old buddy!

I'm so sorry to hear that Ed passed away. I met him at some family parties at Frieda Antonson's house, but I got to know him much better just this last year. He delivered his plums to us at the Phoenix Farm Market and I always looked forward to his arrival and my visit with him. He had such a warm, sweet smile and it was always such a pleasure to talk with him. He took such pride in his plum crop! He will certainly be missed, hopefully you find comfort knowing he is in a better place. My condolences.

Dear Ed, you were always there for all of us. No job was too big or too small for you to willingly give of your time and knowledge. And you offered us a sense of security, always. Your warmth, your smile, and your know-how will bring warmth to our hearts forever. There is no way to properly express how dear your are and always will be to us.
And Mark, who was born with three brothers and a sister who have passed on, tonight mourns the loss of his fourth brother-because you, Ed, have been like a brother to him and the greatest of friends. We know God calls back his angels, and there is no question you are one of them. But we wish you could have stayed with us longer. We love and miss you, our deepest sympathy to dear Edie, and God bless and keep you.

My uncle Ed will be sorely missed. When my mother was pregnant with me, Uncle Eddie had to drive her to the hospital. The problem was he was only 14 and they lived in Covert. I can honestly say I knew him my whole life. I grew up in the house where he lived and died. There are so many memories. He was a great help to my mother. I always felt secure know he was around in case she needed anything. He was a great role model. In many ways I try to be like him.
