We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of James here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Jim (Jimmy) was my best friend for 85 years. I was just 18 months old when he was born and from January 9, 1929 until forever he is my brother and I love him. I cannot remember having a sour word with my brother Jim, although, until he grew several inches taller than me, I did try to bully him sometimes. He was a true man of God and we shared many conversations and discussions about the goodness and agape love of our Heavenly Father. The world lost a good and Godly man the day my brother left on his journey to heaven. I am lost of a dear and treasured brother. I love you Jim. I love you Jim, Iva and Richie. You are good children and loved your father well. He is very proud of you! Thank you for taking care of my dear Jimmy Edward on the last mile of his earthly journey. I love you! Uncle Jack.

Jim, your were such a wonderful brother-in-law to me. You treated me like your sister and I so appreciate you! I have such wonderful memories of evenings playing games with you and Valda--many winters together. I was always so proud that you sat at my table and ate your heart out when I made you potato salad, roast beef, you name it! You are such a kind and gentle man and I loved you as my brother. I pray each day for your children, Jim, Iva and Rich and will continue to be here for them as they grieve the loss of their daddy! I will see you again and celebrate with you God's grace and love. Thank you for being part of my life and the life of my family. Love, Mary

Your dad was always a great prayer warrior, we always knew he was praying for us! He was very caring and loving. He valued his family so much! He was a great example and left a wonderful legacy of integrity he hoped would be passed on to his family. Even though we will all miss him, it is his happy day with his Savior. We count it as a privilege to have been a part of his "family."

Jim, Iva and Rich and all of your children and grandchildren,
Thank you for sharing your dad with me. Uncle Jim and Aunt Valda are sweet memories from my childhood. No one could resist the blue of Uncle Jim's eyes when he wanted to make a point or give you a compliment. I remember his deep laugh and big smile, and I mostly remember how kind he was whenever I was in his presence. He loved the Lord and he was genuinely sure of God's grace in his life. He loved his brothers and adored his sisters! His children were a point of his great pride, but those grandbabies....he was so proud of his grandchildren! I wish you peace as you grieve your loss of a beloved father and join you in celebrating the life of a very good man...your dad and my uncle, Jim! Peggy Carrier Diemer

Delores and family,
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I know the the pain endured cannot be relieved, the loss can never be replaced, the memories can never be cast away; but with some amount of compassion, thoughtfulness, gentle words, one can surely help ease the pain. These condolence messages will help remind you, that although death separates us from one another in body, in spirit, the person always remains alive. Alive through the kind words they said to us, the caring deeds they did for us, the lesson that they taught us, and the example that they were to us. Let us remember them in our prayers, in our fond memories, in our everyday actions, so that remembrance brings joy, not tears. You are in the thoughts and prayers of so many people right now. Please know that support, love and sympathy are with you during this difficult time.

Uncle Jim, I will never forget the times we were together here on Earth and long to see you again in eternity at the feet of our Lord Jesus. You meant so very much to me. Your laugh and the way you talked made me remember my Grandfather. The time you came to Georgia and stayed to help me work on my basement were times I will never forget. James, Rich & Iva, our prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My condolences to your family. May special memories of Jim warm your hearts and bring a smile to your faces. Draw comfort in God's loving provision of the resurrection for Christ said, "I am the RESURRECTION and the LIFE. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." (John 11:25) And Oh what wonderful assurance do we gain from God's promise that soon death will be no more! "And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes and DEATH WILL BE NO MORE, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain, be anymore..." (Revelation 21:4) May these promises from God lessen your sorrow and bring some comfort to your aching hearts.

I just found out that Jim passed away, I wish I had known sooner. Jim was such a great man. He began ministering to me many years ago and I wish that he were still here so I could tell him what a difference he made in my life. I guess he will find out when we meet again. Until then, rest in peace my friend and brother in Christ!
