John was a great man that always thought of others. He help anyone that was in need. Though I did not know him for a long time he touched my life in many ways. We went to see him just a few weeks before he passed at Rustic River Campground. Everyone that was there were either family or close friends of the family. You could feel the love that everyone had for each other. They were the strongest family that I had ever met. The way that they pulled together for his fight was remarkable. This is one man that everyone will miss no matter if they knew him for years or even just months. Thank you John for welcoming my family into yours and letting me share 3 years of friendship with you. I only wish it could have been more.

Sorry for the lost of John. We wish that we could be at the funeral but we have too many thing going on June 24. You will be in our thought and Prayer during this time

I have known John since I was little. John was a selfless man and who do anything for anyone. He had great family values and was a great father and friend. I am so sorry for your families loss. May he rest in peace.

We are saddened for your loss, he was a good man and father and will be greatly missed. we remember lots of good times at the river salmon fishing with our family's, we would have liked to have been at the funeral but we just found outa few minutes ago.

It's been many years but when I saw John's parents were Brenda & Everett Murphy I had to say how sorry I am! Brenda will remember me by another last name, Carol Yates and it has been many years since we've seen each other. I am so sorry for all of John's family and my heart aches for any parent who loses a child.
