Our deepest sorrow to the family of our friend, Betty. She will really be missed by all. We count it a blessing to have known her and helping her with corn to feed her squirrels.
Our Prayers are going out to her family.

My heart is deeply saddened at the news of Mrs. Slikkers passing. She was always so kind. My memories of her camper at Cran-Hill Ranch and just seeing her at church every week are flooding back right now.
Your family is in my prayers. She will be missed.

So sorry to hear about Betty's passing. For many years after leaving South Haven, we would stop in and visit her. Her husband was the principal at SHHS for many years when I taught there. Both wonderful people. RIP, Betty.

I'm sorry that you have lost your mother. What an exceptionally nice and caring mother. Our old neighborhood of N Bailey Ave. & Wilson St. will never be the same! I'll be keeping you in my prayers.

Betty has been a neighbor of mine for many years. She was such a sweetheart! Always a smile for anyone who happened to walk by her lovely home during the summer. Her beautiful roses were always a topic of those who walked by her yard. I had the pleasure of talking with her many times when my kids were growing up and we walked by her home while on the way to Hartmann School. She will be missed by a lot of folks in the neighborhood! My son, who was 8 or 9 at the time happened to stop by her yard sale many years ago. He proudly came home with his treasures " a white bubble necklace and a faux coral necklace". I asked him what he was going to do with the necklaces, girlfriend perhaps? Nope he told me, they are for you Mom. He said the nice lady told him that, even though he only had his allowance money, )which wasn't enough really), he had just the right amount of money for the gift for his Mom. I stopped by Betty's later and wanted to pay her for the total cost and she simply stated "no amount of money in the world would be enough for the love your son has for you to buy a gift with his allowance money"! She was so happy at his joy and especially mine. She was proud to be a part of his and mine's joy! She was an exceptional lady! Kind, thoughtful, beautiful, and a true lady in every sense of the word. I'm going to miss her!

A.G.... So sorry to hear this news. But aren't you so fortunate to have your mom here for such a long and terrific time. Since my mother passed away 12 years ago I've come to believe moms are our conscience, and therefore that we will always "hear" them deep inside and that they are always with us. With fond memories of your mom and dad...Barry

So sad to hear of Bette's passing. Glad I got to visit with her in early June. We were long time neighors, eighteen years, and friends another twenty years. We took many a walk through the neighborhood with our dogs. We worked together on the Al-Van Humane Society board for a number of years. She helped me get through college math and we played many games of Scrabble together. I will always think of pink hyacinths as Bette's special flower.

Our prayers are with you. My mother,, Martha Roberts, and Bette had many adventures together in their later years. Fishing in Canada and cruising the Caribbean were just a few of their trips. What a fun lady! Farwell
