I attended United Missionary Church, 17th and Regent, in Niles, Michigan, with the Culp family.
I was lucky to have been given music lessons with Ruth Culp, at their home and was therefore able to get to know the Culp family quite well.
Just wanted to offer my condolences to the family and honor this great man, who was such a respected role model, in my life.
What an amazing life, he lived.

We grew up in Niles with the Culp family, and share many wonderful memories.
When I think of "Mr. Culp" I think of the "patch" out on the Niles Buchanan road.
From memory, I believe the little house was owned by either his dad or his
wife Ruth's dad. We ventured out there many times to play, and also, as a side venture, we collected wonderful morel mushrooms growing in the field.
Harold, alias "Mr. Culp" to us, was a gentle, wonderful, and always fun and quick with the jokes. His children, now adults, carry forward his kindness and
terrific sense of humor. Quick wit, kind heart, and a gentle way would describe
him----though quiet, always able to drive his point home.
Anita, Sue, and John and his wife Jeanne are great friends of ours, and we shall
never forget the funny, and wonderful experiences with all the Culps, and especially shall miss both Ruth and Harold. There was a magic to their "way"
Harold loved the heat and Florida; Ruth loved the rugged shores of Lake Michigan and the cooler weather, so each year we waited to see where they
would spend the most time!
Life and lives so very well lived, Harold and his wife Ruth. Their legacy shall
continue through Anita, Sue, and John, Jeanne and Heather and Johnny. Our
sincere sympathy to you all.
