We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of JoAnn here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
It's been a privilege to call JoAnn a friend for almost 50 years and as a customer for 35 years. She was such a gentle soul and her love of children drew them to her. My granddaughters would talk to her and give her hugs when we'd go to do her hair on Thursdays and her face would light up when they would be with me.
It seemed so unfair that the Golden Years were taken from her and she was missed greatly by her kids and grandkids who took such good care of her.
Now she is with Loren who she has missed so much.

I grew up behind the Soergel house, I have many fond memories of Joann. She was one of the nicest ladies I ever met, and was a dear friend to my mom. I remember her sitting with mom at the nursing home during my mom's last days. Until recent years she never missed sending me a Christmas card. May you rest in peace and may Deb, Chris and Tim find peace in the good memories and knowing that she is reunited with their dad, family and friends once again. God Bless You Deana Haines Wilson

JoAnn and I were best friends during our childbearing years. We made
Christmas cookies together at midnight, watched Tiny Tim get married, got caught sneaking into the swimming pool and she was always there to take care of my girls, when needed. We celebrated so many wonderful holidays together. She weathered many serious health problems and I'm so grateful now that she can finally rest. Love and blessings to Deb, Chris, Tim and all the grandchildren.

Deb, Chris and Tim,
So sorry to hear about your mom. What a wonderful lady she was. Up until a couple of years ago I would still exchange Christmas cards with her. She never missed one! She will always be my "favorite" babysitter and to this day I still tell my kids about your mom. She loved the kids she babysat like her own. She will be missed.
My condolences to you and your families.

Joann
Was truly a family inspiration. She put family, pets and home above everything. I regrets not being able to personally be there. My care, love and compassion go out to all of you. Please understand my sympathy in this moment you are now suffering. Joann is with Loren and in peace.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother to the whole Soergel Family, a Mom is the bond for the whole family, keep her close to your hearts and she will always be that strong bond that holds a family together. Tim, I've known you and your family for many years, I know both your Mom and Dad would be very proud of all of you! Love you all.

To all of JoAnn's family,
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Losing a mom, grandma and sister is so hard. We had lots of fun and conversations together while our boys played ball. She was a wonderful lady. She will be missed by so many.

Tim, Chris, and Deb--
I am so very sorry and deeply saddened to hear about your loss. She was a wonderful woman who I will remember as a "mom" as well. I remember so vividly the care she gave to me and so many others as a youngster. I remember how kind and caring she was even though I was just a kid. We all know that she is in a much better place and can now peacefully be with your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Debbie, Chris and Tim,
I remember going to school and church with you all. Your parents were always so nice. Your Mom was a very pretty and special lady. She had a gift of being so loving and caring to the children. May the Lord wrap His loving arms around you all and give you peace and love during this time, as always. May He bless you with the fond memories of your Mom and all she did for you and others. Now she is in heaven with Loren. Your family always came in my Dad's office. I remember your folks with a warm heart. I know you will miss your Mom as you do your Dad. Peace be with you. Love, Susan

I just wanted to say how sorry I am about your mom JoAnn. We were friends in high school. I also visited her at her home on occasion. She had Tim and I had a son Jim, both born around the same time. My heart ached for her when she was at Ann Arbor right after Tim was born. Please accept my prayers and sympathies.
