My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. I was lucky enough to get to know the Watson family by being the Kindergarten teacher for all 3 of you, Krista, David & Andrea. It was very obvious to me how much you loved your father and how much he loved you. I loved hearing the stories about where you went skiing, about the backyard ice rink, and so much more. Hoping the memories you've made with your father help ease the pain.

Tom and I were in the same age group during many local runs, so I knew I would be able to get no better than second. He mentored me for both my Old Kent River Banks Runs. I have been blessed to have known him, and he will be missed.

Mary, Mrs. Watson and Family,
I am very sorry to hear of Toms passing. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Tom had a great sense of humor, and I always enjoyed his spirit. I was in Johns class, Al taught with my parents in SH schools, and my dad coached Tom, John and Al JR. in HS football. We always had high regards for him and all of you. He will be missed here, but we know is with Big Al and John now.
Sincerely,
Chuck Miller

To the Watson Family, I will be praying for you and my brother Tom. I really don't know what to say, but just know I never met a nicer man and will always think of Tom, Coondog, Johnny and myself watching Cubs games at the lodge during the spring and summer of 1980. My deepest condolences and prayers.

Mary & Beca - my heart hurts for both of you and your families too. I'm praying you will be able to find strength in our Heavenly Father and PEACE knowing that you will be united with Tom someday. As you begin to think about the memories you have of your brother and friend, I'm sure there will be many tears shed but I pray you will also have laughter and joy as you share your stories with others. I didn't know Tom but from what I've heard in the 24 hours....he sounds like he was as sweet & nice as the two of you are. You had a gem in a brother and a friend. My words just don't seem adequate but I hope you know I am thinking and praying for both of you and all that are hurting from a life cut so short.

Family, friends and Beca Gordon...I am so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. He was a true example of a good friend & co-worker. Tom loved his children and always talked about what they were doing and how proud he was of them. Tom gave me the name as the “M&M” man as I never failed to bring them with me when I visited the family. Tom also loved his Mother and Father and he was so proud of them and talked about them often. He had a great sense of humor and a great sense of responsibly. I know I could go to Tom and he would help me out of jam no matter what! To the entire family, friends and Beca Gordon…my prayers are with you. I have tears now writing this.. but smiles of the memories Tom left me…Tom was a “GREAT” man, father, companion and friend..Tom you will be missed by all who came in contact with you.. Tom RIP...my friend ....with love.

I was so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was doing one of the things he really enjoyed - his running. I worked with Tom for many years at Palisades, shoulder to shoulder at times. He was always uplifting to me in times of stress, and I thought of Tom as one of the good guys. Though I am 800 miles away, my heart is with Tom and his family right now, and I know Tom appreciated all his friends and loved ones. I can hear his laugh now as I write this difficult condolence. God bless Tom, and family, and friends.

I first met Tom 25 years ago while working at Palisades. He welcomed me to the plant and we were good friends. Lost touch with him for many years, but reconnected at Beeches Golf Club a couple of years ago. He will be missed by all who knew him. He introduced me to Al at the course and looked forward to golfing with his brother everytime he was in town. My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family at this difficult time, and also to you Beca. I would pick on him for not golfing as much this last season as he had the year before, and he would tell me it was because he needed to spend some of his time with you and not his clubs! Always good for a laugh.

I extend my sincerest condolences to all members of the Watson family. Tom was on the first team I ever coached in the Babe Ruth League in 1971. He was one of the toughest and most spirited players I coached during my entire career. At the same time, he was one of the kindest, most considerate, and most caring individuals I have ever known. I pray that all of you will find some comfort in the Promise of The Resurrection.

My name is Justin Giegerich, and I am the grandson of Raymond Giegerich. I came to know Tom in my youth, as Sally and her family became very close with my grandfather and the rest of our family. Tom was an incredible man, and I am so saddened to hear of his loss. I am now 18 years old, and I can confidently say that Tom was a guiding force to me in my childhood. Every time my family and I visited South Haven, seeing Tom (and of course Sally and co.) was an absolute joy. As Tom and Sally frequently joined us for cook outs, I found myself consistently overjoyed getting to flourish my relationship with Tom. Tom was an easy going man, and had a free and beautiful soul. He found joy in each moment of life, making it impossible for anyone to grow gloomy in his presence, as one could just immerse themselves in the positive vibes that carried him through his days. During our cook outs, we would often engage in incredibly fun and creative activities inspired by Tom. I can remember one instance two years ago in which, after dinner, my Father, my Uncle, myself, and Tom went to the bluff behind my aunt's house with limitless golf balls and driving tee's in hand. We would take turns hitting the golf balls off of the bluff, seeing who could drive it the farthest. That was such fun, and I will treasure that memory, and many more I developed knowing Tom, for the rest of my life.
Sally- I send all of my love and positive energy to you. Thank you for bringing such an incredible human into the world. He will be missed beyond belief.
Justin Giegerich
