To the Arends/Steele Family; so sorry for the loss of your Mother/Sister. I worked with Jim Steele at S.E.Overton Company and became acquainted with Barb that way. Barb & I had the same Red l989 GMC Vehicle and we both grocery shopped, it seems, on the same day at D & W Grocery Store; on one particular shopping day, Barb checked out sooner than I did and when I got outside, I realized that she was trying to get into my Red l989 GMC Vehicle; when I approached her, I told her that was my GMC - we laughed for hours about that; and when we met again at D & W, we always made sure where each of us parked!

Marsha and Greg,
I am so osrry to hear of your mom's passing. Richard and Gerry just told me. Barb was such a special lady and friend. She was such a big part of my life growing up. And later I could see her once every 5 years and we always just picked right where we left off. She brought sunshine wherever she went and always put a smile on my face. She will be missed by all. She did a wonderful job raising both of you. May God be with you in this time of sorrow. All my love, Sara French Gumpert
