My heart goes out to Aunt Vesta's family. My fond memories go all the way back to when Alvin and I were first married and went out to family reunions at Aunt Vesta's and Uncle Miles's house. They invited us for dinner one night and, especially for us, they fixed fried oysters. We were moved by the gesture. After Alvin died, they gave me cuttings of his great grandmother's rosebush, which thrived. It broke my heart to leave it when I moved to Alabama. I wish many happy memories for all the families of Myles and Yvonne. With love and remembrance, Linda Byam

My deepest sympathy goes out to your family. I was blessed to have known Vesta and honored to call her my friend. She was a wonderful woman that never had a bad thing to say about anyone or anything (no matter how bad things were). Vesta could comfort you with the gentle touch of her hand and scold you with just one look. I received my fair share of both. I will cherish the memories I have from crafting with her at church and the time we spent visiting at home. She will be greatly missed.

Myles and Mathew, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I did not know your mom and grandma, but she must have been wonderful to have a son and grandson like you two.

I am wanting you to know that I am thinking of all of you today. I would be there but my husband had a scheduled eye surgery today, Vesta was a very special lady who will be greatly missed by all of you and us at the Village Clipper Salon. She came in weekly with a big smile and great conversation about her family. Vesta was very proud of all of you. She loved her time at Beaver and Glenn. Love and Prayers Julie DeRoo.

From singing my first solo in the church choir some 50+ years ago to singing duets with Mary Guigue (Johnson) or singing with my three sisters as the Warren Quartet during the variety shows that the church would put on at the Glenn Rec Hall, Mrs. Rehkopf was always the music behind our voices. Having had the opportunity to sing "The Lords Prayer" while she played is just another of many great memories I will always have to cherish. She helped put a song in my heart that I still have 50+ years later. I'm very tickled that during these last few years my wife, Teresa, has had the opportunity to sit and enjoy your mom's company. Thinking of you Yvonne, Smiley and families.

Yvonne, Smiley and family, my deepest condolences on the loss of your mom. I, like Ken Warren, have many memories of Vesta. I'll always remember the Christmas catatas, her playing organ at my wedding, mother and daughter banquets and so many more. She's now with the rest of the Glenn gang playing beautiful music with my mother singing (such as it was!). You will all be in my heart and prayers. Mary
