I still have a turtle shaped wooden step stool that Mr. Schlaack made nearly 40 years ago. I'm sure Mrs. helped because it has cute fabric on it! I use it in my closet, and I always think of him when I look at it or use it. Great father, along with his wife, that raised great children! Hugs and kisses to the family.

I am so sad to hear this! I don't work at Walmart anymore but I loved seeing him and his wife, holding the cart together and seeming so in love.... I loved sharing hugs and letting them meet my daughter at Nemo's. I will be working and unable to come to the service but please share a hug from me, I will miss seeing him. My heartfelt sympathy to the family, prayers and sorry for your loss.

I have known the family my whole life, as Carl and Evelyn are friends of my parents and we were neighbors out on Phoenix Road. I remember Carl giving me a ride home late one winters night when I slid into the ditch on my way home. Wonderful man, wonderful family. God Bless you all.
