Dear Dave and the rest of the family...I don't think your Dad ever met a stranger. He was part of that South Haven charm...that magical place where we all grew up. Your Dad always had a smile on his face and a kind word on his lips. He was a comfort. I am sorry for your loss but what a life he and your Mom lived. I think we are all better people for who our parents were and the childhood we all shared. God bless you and yours. PJ Canonie-Bubin

Dave, Ken and family... So sorry for your loss, despite how fortunate you were to have both your mom and dad for such an extraordinary length of time. What a special blessing for all of you. Growing-up I remember very vividly the jovial nature of your dad's smile. These last few years since moving back home I remember riding my little bicycle down Monroe Blvd, and turning back in front of his house, often to wave at him on his porch. Again, another fortunate family in our midst growing-up and living our lives. Barry

I knew Dorothy from when she worked at our store Tait's Book and Art now Bayberry Cottage. Then Ron and I lived around the corner from them for over 20 years. They both always smiled and waved from their porch as did Mr Reznick. Ron knew him from Rotary. This man was blessed by years. I know he will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathies to all Wib's family.

When as a visiting Rotarian I began helping the South Haven club with their pancake breakfasts, Wib was the first member to make sure he greeted me by name and made me feel welcome with his big smile. I enjoyed going by the house and seeing him out on the porch. He will be missed.

Wilbur was a good man! Always smiling, with a great personality. He and Dorothy and their boys were an important part of South Haven when Jane and I were growing up. They had a lot of good times with what came to be known as the Swedish Club--with Bob and Sarah Colliflower, Sanda and Andy Anderson, Edna Calvin, Adena and Al Bauschke, etc. May the Lynam family now find joy in their great memories and be comforted by them.

I worked for Wib down at the board of public utilities, he was very kind to me as a young person and willing to give me a job there. He retired a few years after I started in 1984; so wonderful that he had so many years to enjoy his life in retirement. Prayers for your family

Our favorite memory of Wib was the night he and Dottie invited us over for a piece of one of Wib's famous pies and Wib's sharing of his time on Norfolk Island during World War II. Wib was the only American service man stationed there during the war. He had fascinating details of the island and the war. That evening I really understood Wib's cheerful and cando attitude. It started young. He and Dottie were certainly part of "the finest generation." He was a wonderful example of how to age well. We will miss Wib very much. So sorry for your big loss, Ken and David.

Janet, Dave and family, I worked for your dad in between stints at GTE, at the City Hall. He was always kind and gracious and made it easy to get through the day. I used to drive by the house where your parent's lived just to wave and say hi once in awhile. He will be missed.

Wib was the kindest and most generous gentleman I've had the pleasure of meeting -- and he demonstrated these traits, each and every day, both personally and professionally. He was devoted to his family, faith and community -- and all that were fortunate to truly get to know him are better for having that experience. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
