Cynthia & Family: Please know that our prayers are with you during this time of extreme sorrow. May Jehovah, the God of Comfort, help direct your steps. We all look forward to seeing our dear friend very soon in the resurrection as noted in John 5:28, 29 which reads: 28β―Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29β―and come out. With Christian love, Ty & Carolyn Wallace

In the short time I knew Sherman at Allegan DHS, I could sum up my feelings by these words: he was a gentleman and a gentle man. This world is a sadder place without him. My heartfelt sympathies to his family.

To the Fuqua Family - I had the pleasure of working with Sherman and he brought so much joy to the workplace. He was always represented a positive attitude and dressed to the nines. He would minister to those who needed encouragement despite being in the workplace. His devotion and love for God was a true reflection. I will never forget his stories about his football days and our great debates about football. He will be truly missed. May God comfort your family during this time.

I worked with Sherman when I was at DHS and later at Senior Services as the Medicaid specialist. He was such a warm, funny guy and always ready with a big hug. He will be missed.

To the Fuqua family I'm so sorry for your loss. My hope is as tines passes you may find comfort and happiness with your many memories of Sherman. Sherman was my supervisor at Kalamazoo DHS. Sherman had lots of patience for us new workers and was always available to answer questions. He made the day a little brighter with encouragement when you were overwhelmed with your case load. And he was always dressed up in a suit and tie as if he was ready to go to church. He always had a smile on his face. May you Rest In Peace Sherman. It was a pleasure to meet and work with you. I'm sure you will be rocking a snazzy looking suit in heaven. Sincerely Jackie Kimble

Sherman was a fellow coworker and friend of mine at DHHS. He was always ready to encourage and lend a helping hand whenever one was needed. He and I shared a love of the Steelers and often talked sports. He will be truly missed.
