I knew Butch for 13 years at Palisades. Butch was always kind to me. If I was in a pickle, he got me out of it. He did it with humor and kindness. He had a great sense of the inevibility of life, work, and a keen sense of integrity. He could take one look at you and figure out if you were a taker or a giver. I have nothing but love for Butch. He was a Pslisades stalwart, a face of Palisades. He is unforgettable.

My heart breaks for the family he leaves behind. My soul rejoices in the MANY memories I have of the man and his family……………………….. I’ll never forget the “surprise” bedroom above the garage and 1 gallon cans to peanut which come to mind at the moment. Love to you all.

I must admit my heart was broken when I heard the news. Who can help but remember with love the fun times growing up with Mr. Geisler. He and the Geisler family were such an extension our own. Prayers for strength these coming days. Take comfort in knowing that this kind and loving soul rests now in the arms of his Savior. Sending our love to you Donna & all of your family. He will be sorely missed by many.

I am so saddened to learn of Butch's passing. He was my very first boss at Palisades, and of the MANY of them I went through out there in my 35 years, he was one of the best. My condolences to the family...

I met Butch in 1985 @ the Palisades Nuclear Plant when I went to work for him on the original Buildings & Grounds (BAG) crew. It was his idea to take non-nuclear type work out of the hands of the plant maintenance department for efficiency purposes. Evidently it was a great idea as the BAG crew had doubled its size and was still operating when I retired in 2016. Working with Butch, I soon learned our lives shared several commonalities: Our birth month, our hometown, and his brother-in-law Alan, who bought beer for me and my friends when we were in high school. He always got the biggest kick out of knowing that! Anyway I spent 10 years working with Butch at Palisades as both an employee and as a peer. In retrospect, I realize what an outstanding "life" teacher he was! He truly was all about his family. So proud of each on of his kids. I know you'll miss him dearly❤! My thoughts and prayers go out to all his family…good bye Butch! God bless you!

Sending comfort to the family from afar. I will always remember his laugh. So glad he could share with the family picking from our garden to supplement his own. He left his mark and lots of memories.

As a little girl and neighbor I remember visiting your home with neighbor kids; then some 20 years later I had the pleasure of getting to know Butch a little as an adult working at Palisades. Nice man in both instances. Love the picture! Wishing all of you peace, strength, and hope.

So many wonderful memories beginning in January, 1966…Couples gathering thru the Lady Lake Guild at Saint Basils…Donna and Butch and Paula and Harry…Raising our children together…Peanutbutter sandwiches and breakfast on the South beach, Dancing at Club 33, camping and the laughter and sometimes even tears were shared…Those definitely were the special days my friend…Rest in peace Butch and say hello to my better half…See you on the other side…Love ya, Bette Clare…P.S. I will be there for Donna Jean.

I worked with Butch for a number of years at the Bangor Schools while I was in college and he taught me how to do many things like plumbing, wiring, carpentry, etc. For the last 40+ years, I have had a very successful Home Building business and I have always given Butch credit for getting me started. He was a wonder man and mentor.

My heart aches every time I think of the passing of the best Godfather I could ask for. I always had a sense of pure love and acceptance from Donna and Butch as though I had a second set of parents who would take care of me whenever need be. I remember happy times as Amy, David, Danny, and I ventured through the woods, played for hours, and always found our way back to the house filled with love. I will remember Butch with a smile always on his face, his special laugh, and overwhelming kindness in his heart. God shared a wonderful man with so many. And I am so grateful to have been one of them. On behalf of the Avery family, I send our condolences and pray for your family's peace in this time of great sorrow. Love, Lori and all "Death is not putting out the light, it is extinguishing the candle because the dawn has come."

I know in my mind it's only been 3 months since you went to be with Mom & Dad, Grandpa & Grandma Geisler & Grandma & Grandpa Manthe.., & Bob(my hubby) & Austin Lee my greatgrandson) .& other relatives from our family. My Heart still hurts so bad, & I couldn't bring myself to write you til now with tears in my eyes, It just hurts so badly, but God had a mission to take you home with him to Heaven to be an ANGEL...The 3 of us kids grew up having so much fun, especially playing in Riverview Cemetary (before they added more lots), we were always jumping over the picnic tables from 1 to another, til Donna (our little sister) fell & well, she gad to have stitches. I remember so many dumb stunts we used to do, but the best day was when you married Donna Jean., & then having a family of your own. You have always been there for me as has DJ. You never once criticized me for the dumb & stupid mistakes I made over the yrs I was married, then became a widow, but you & DJ were always there for me when I needed advice, or just someone to talk to..There's more I want to say, but this is enough for now..You are my Hero, my best friend, but by the most the best Brother a sister could ever want. I miss & will always Love you forever..(p.s- take care of Bob & you guys behave yourselves), I know you will always & forever be here for me whenever I need You. With all my Love, your sister B.
